Ayurveda has a 5000-year-old tradition of cultivating health and wellness. Based on the principle that three natural forces reside in the human body: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Exponents call these “doshas“. When they are in balance, we enjoy health and harmony. Effective treatments are employed to release blockages so that Qi – the basic energy of life – can flow freely again.
To offer guests an authentic experience, Ayurvedic treatments take place in the resort’s Ayurvedic temple, designed and built by Indian craftsmen. The materials were carefully shipped from Kerala to Saint Lucia.
Originating in Kerala, Ayurveda, the ancient Indian philosophy and holistic approach to well-being, means “the art of living wisely.” At BodyHoliday Saint Lucia, we have learned the art of Ayurvedic therapies.
A menu of Ayurvedic treatments, including massages and facials using warm oils and time-honoured techniques – are offered to revive the body, calm the mind, and bring balance.

Yoga
Yoga is a spiritual sister to Ayurveda, and many practices of physical exercise and meditation are linked with India and Kerala.
Yoga is an internal practice. While moving through various postures, whether simple or challenging, the mind is continuously tested. Discipline, patience, focus and concentration increase through Yoga training. This in turn, helps people to overcome fear, anger, varying moods and attachments. Yoga helps to strengthen both body and mind. Yoga helps us to look beyond the material world, experience the self, and to feel more at one with nature. Many people find that Yoga helps them to live with contentment.
