Craving something sweet? BodyHoliday’s Executive Pastry Chef, Julian Broome, has just the recipe to top up your five a day whilst sating that sweet tooth.

Whilst the majority of us may require routine in our lives to keep us grounded and to help us think clearly, it has never been more apparent that doing the same thing in the same place, day-in day-out, can prove mentally taxing after a time. It therefore comes as no great surprise, during this period of lockdown, that many of us have taken to our kitchens with enthusiasm and gusto.

As one of the most sensory experiences we can have, sumptuous food is proving to be just the thing to break through the humdrum of our new normal. With this in mind, BodyHoliday’s newly appointed Executive Pastry Chef, Julian Broome, has delighted us with a healthy, yet delectable, recipe for sautéed plums which will both satisfy your sugar cravings and keep you on track for hitting that five a day mark.

BodyHoliday’s Executive Pastry Chef, Julian Broome, shows us an easy, healthy and delicious way to serve up the fruit you have at home.

Self-improvement is all around and there’s never been a better time to brush up on your skills in the kitchen and try your hand at a novel recipe. Indeed, I am of the opinion there are few things in life more enjoyable than a really terrific sweet treat. Whether you always have room for sweet treat, or a savoury starter is more your style, there are few of us who can resist a burst of sweetness to break up our days or to bring our meals to a close.

Here at BodyHoliday, we champion our guests to consume foods that will feed both the body and the soul. Whilst it is important to eat as mindfully as possible, particularly in a time when there is such a need for us to focus on good health, it is equally important for the spirit that we glean as much enjoyment from our daily lives as possible. Balance, as ever, is key!

It is, therefore, my delight to share with you a recipe which is as much of a health-kick as it is an indulgence. Utilising nutrient-rich fruits, this dish is full to the brim of ingredients that possess cholesterol-balancing, immune-boosting and digestion aiding properties.

So if you’ve been scouring the internet for a healthy snack or a virtuous dessert, look no further! This aromatic plum dish can be pulled together in just 10-15 minutes on the stove-top and will leave you feeling revitalised in every sense of the word.
